Once the Slinger is dead, simply move around the field and weaken all the dredge so you are able to kill each of them in one hit. If you have the Farthingjord equipped from TBS1, it will be that much easier as you will be able to do 4-6 break damage depending on how high you upgraded his break stat. Use your first couple of turns to kill the Slinger as this is the only enemy that can really cause you trouble. Take careful note of its movement range, including with willpower (the yellow squares), and make sure to always move so that you will not be within the next dredge's attack range. To win the fight, you need to use the D-pad to view the dredge that will act next. This means Rook will get a turn after each dredge's turn. As you enter the battle alone, you do not have to deal with pillage mode. While the fight may initially seem overwhelming, it is much easier than expected. Use this in conjunction with the Random Events page to navigate your way through the story while putting yourself at risk as little as is necessary.Īfter the initial tutorial where you meet Aleo, you will enter a second fight with just Rook against a number of dredge with one Slinger and Grunt as well as a couple Stoneguards and Scourge. Below I will list the events that can lead to a battle and the choices you can make to avoid them if necessary. While with Rook's caravan, you will still want to try and fight as many battles as you can (you will want to avoid a few). Bolverk - Rank 8 (Avoid talents all together for the end game battle).Hakon - Rank 8 (Switched in after Iver leaves). While your party may end up looking very different, here is what I ended up making it through the game with.
Doing this will see you start with over 550 renown to give your characters a massive boost early in the game and make your run much easier. Try to rank up Iver to a reasonable level and have Bolverk useable but don't make him too deadly.īefore starting your Hard run if you haven't done so already, I seriously recommend that you run through TBS1 using the method I describe on the Preparations page. This especially applies to Bolverk as to win the Challenge achievement you do need to win the final battle (you should know what I speak of if you have already played through on Normal). Because we are playing on Hard, we will be avoiding a fair amount of battles where possible.
